2. Trump tweeted in response to 36 different Fox programs last year, including every single Fox News show -- weekend, weekday, daytime, evening, you name it. And he expanded the range of shows he was live-tweeting over the course of the year.
3. Trump increased the frequency of his Fox live-tweets as 2019 went on, sending nearly 100 (!) in December. mediamatters.org/fox-news/study… 
4. Trump live-tweeted Fox & Friends by far the most of any show -- 206 times in 2019. The rest of the top ten is made up of other weekday and weekend morning programs, and the evening shows of regular advisers like Hannity, Carlson, and Dobbs. mediamatters.org/fox-news/study…
5. Trump's Fox live-tweets fall into three main buckets. With some of them, he is catapulting Fox's propaganda, using his Twitter feed to push its messaging into the mainstream. The big spike of live-tweets late in the year is largely the result of Ukraine/impeachment tweets.
6. Sometimes Trump just seems to be getting distracted by Fox's red-meat culture war programming, which is anger fuel for its viewers. The racist tweetstorms about the Squad and Cummings/Baltimore were both reactions to Fox segments about their criticism of him, for example.
7. And sometimes, Trump just seems unable to turn off the television. He sent Fox live-tweets on New Year's Day and Christmas Day, on the evening of Valentine's Day, and nine live-tweets on his wedding anniversary. This is frankly more than a little sad.
8. But the "Fox News Grandpa" aspects are a small part of a larger story. This data reveal a president immersed in and fueled by Fox programming, taking advice from his television on matters of U.S. domestic and foreign policy. It's a bad scene, and its getting worse. #end
