(1/3) Holy heck, it's more gaslighting from the right. Gaslighting is a technique designed to confuse somebody and obfuscate the truth. A person who is successfully "gaslit" is easier to coerce. In the Trumpian world we live in, we have a severe level of gaslighting.
(2/3) The gaslighting we are hearing today (impeachment trial) is aimed toward the public watching on Fox. The House was denied access to testimony and to documents. They charged obstruction. It's in the public record. Yet GOP counsel argue that new requests prove unpreparedness!
(3/3) Gaslighting is effective in Trumpland, both because he has so many enablers (the largest is Fox), AND because his target audience is intrinsically susceptible to it, through anger, prejudice, and disenfranchisement - to name 3. Many don't want truth and have forsaken logic.
