Today's a case management hearing, so largely administrative decisions about how the main hearing is going to be organised. #Assange
The prosecution have requested that the main hearing be split, with the first two weeks beginning 24 February and the second sometime in April. DJ Baraitser's going to have to make a call on that. #Assange

Hearing adjourned until 11.15. Prosecution and defence have asked for more time, proposing first week of hearing to start 24/2 with three further weeks to follow in may. #Assange
The defence intends to submit arguments on abuse of process. The US has made a detailed submission on the publication process, which the defence needs time to respond too. #Assange
The CPS has also appointed its own medical expert, although they have not yet been able to gain admittance to Belmarsh to assess #Assange.
Several defence witnesses will give evidence anonymously, including two Spanish witnesses (presumably UC Global related) and four who will be referred to by initials only. #Assange

Overall, it's very clear that the original timetable was completely unrealistic. Both sides now completely clear that they need more time to get the basics covered. #Assange
