Reminder: Biden's work fighting corruption in Ukraine made an investigation into his son *more* likely, not less.
In fact, the corrupt prosecutor general *failure* to investigate Burisma was a central reason that Biden (and much of the international community) pressured Ukraine to fire him. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…
So why is Bondi talking about this?
Because if the White House couldn't get Ukraine to smear Joe Biden over it, they'll just do it all themselves.
Biden's intervention in Ukraine was an effort to fight corruption—to make sure that the Ukrainian government investigated corrupt companies like Burisma.
Trump, on the other hand, was actively fostering corruption in Ukraine.

THREAD: Reminder: Trump didn't just demand an investigation into the Bidens. He also wanted an investigation into the debunked, Kremlin-backed CrowdStrike conspiracy theory.
Aside from a few oblique references, Trump's lawyers basically wouldn't touch it.
Why? Because they know it's been repeatedly debunked, and they know it's Russian propaganda. The CrowdStrike conspiracy theory is indefensible.
And that shows why Trump's behavior is so indefensible.

You can't actually separate the two conspiracy theories. They're part of one master conspiracy theory, pushed by Giuliani and the rest of the BLT Team, about how Trump's illegitimate opponents illegally plotted to undermine his presidency.
