A day in UK politics liable to be higher in emotion than understanding, a dismal 2016 referendum campaign (on both sides) never put behind us. A UK no longer in the EU but continuing to be profoundly affected by it, not least in whether we can survive as a country.
The UK leaving the EU was not inevitable, though many like to think of what happens as being so, and the success or failure of what happens next is similarly to be shaped. And I do feel a nervousness about that from some political figures, which is healthy. Big choices ahead.
Another quick thought from a brief media spot, can we move beyond Canada and Norway and whatever models now and go for the trade agreement that works best for the UK?
