2/Lamar Alexander's statement last night was a vindication of the House's Impeachment effort. He essentially said the House did its job but the Senate just isn't going to Impeach this President in an election year.
3/My prediction is there will be no backlash against the House/Dems for Impeachment. They acted honorably, and were driven by patriotism. The President is guilty, and his party is a corrupt embarrassment. Majorities w/the Dems on most issues, incl removal.
4/In the Clinton Impeachment, majorities were against what the House was doing, so it was a very different environment.

6/Perception that the trial was a joke - which it has been - will be a huge problem for Trump and McConnell. It confirms their venality, and the righteousness of the House's actions.
