Daily Facebook Advertising Tips (2020 Update).

Everyday I'm going to give a little tip/trick/random piece of info about FB Ads.

Let's see how many days I can keep the streak alive.

RT to spread the knowledge 👍

Enjoy!
Day 1 - 2/4

When I first started with FB ads I struggled to keep an open mind.

I wouldn't test certain things because I "knew" it wouldn't work.

It wasn't till I put aside my preconceived notions and let the data show me what people wanted.

TEST EVERYTHING!
Day 2 - 2/5

Looking to refresh creatives but unable to make something new?

Take what's working and test out different ad types with it.

Here are the different ad types:

-Images/Videos
-Slideshow
-Carousel
-Collection/Instant Experience

Good luck! Image
Day 3 - 2/6

In my experience you should use 1 : 1 aspect ratio for your creatives.

It takes up far more space on the news feed compared to 16 : 9 which is usually the alt I see people use.

1 : 1 is the most convenient to use since it works with the majority of placements. Image
Day 4 - 2/7

Struggling to understand the learning phase?

Stop overthinking it.

FB created a great image that outlines everything that impacts the learning phase.

You're welcome. Image
Day 5 - 2/8

What conversion window do you use?

1 day click - use when selling a product people typically buy on the spot

7 day click - use when dealing with a product where it takes the customer a few days to convert.

Only use click, view through isn't reliable.
Day 6 - 2/9

Did you know shipping price is one of the most common reasons for a customer abandoning their cart?

If you own an ecom store or run ads for one, make sure you are at least testing free vs. paid shipping.

You could be missing out on a lot if you aren't.
Day 7 - 2/10

When's the last time you tested new creatives?

Most people's answer is well over a month which is in my experience is too long.

Even when you have creatives performing really well, you still need to be testing creatives regularly.

Nothing lasts forever!
Day 8 - 2/11

Struggling to control your CBOs budget?

Try testing out ad set spend limits.

You're able to set a min or max to help better manage that ad set's spend.
