My view is that the answer is no, but I don't think it's impossible for someone to disagree in good faith.
With that said, pols are always going to do what is in their interest. Voting to remove a POTUS of your own party almost never is (which is why Romney is 1st to do it).

The only way you make it in a politician's interest is by convincing a large segment of their voters that it's the right thing to do.
Dems never even tried to do that here. They made it clear from the start this was a partisan political play aimed at the election.

Therefore, the outcome was always predetermined. Trump was always going to be impeached and acquitted.

With that said, I don't blame those who voted for removal or those who voted against it. Trump put himself in that position, and then Dems chose this strategy. I think it ended up being a much worse strategy than they planned. Everyone got their talking points & it's done.
