I don't really care that Sanders visited the USSR. I do care that he saw anything to like in our totalitarian regime and served as a propaganda tool. And some US voters will care and if he's nominated it will be a catastrophe for Dems & country.
No doubt there is a lot more footage of Sanders in the KGB archives, videos that Putin will be happy to share with his friend Donald for a very reasonable price.
I addressed Bernie, democratic socialism, and their typical arguments four years ago and don't hear anything new today. The prospect of four more years of Trump make it even more vital for the Dems to nominate a moderate. kasparov.com/garry-kasparov… (Published March 10 2016)

Trump is shrinking the GOP to a narrow loyalist base. In theory, that should fail come election time, but the electoral college means he has a path to victory even if he loses the popular vote by even more.
The question is how many disaffected Republicans stay home or even vote Dem, and how many Dems who stayed home in 2016 show up. The choice of Dem candidate will decide both.
Steyer, Klobuchar and Buttigieg did the right thing in this regard, putting their goals and the country before personal ego, putting getting Trump out of the White House over everything.

Bad, but Putin supports Sanders because 1) he's Trump's best chance in the general & 2) extremism and division are Putin's goal.
As he's demonstrated around the globe, and in France in particular, Putin will support radicals on the left and the right even at the same time. Radical agendas that marginalize moderates & cause chaos. Divide and conquer.
Putin sympathizes with the fascists of course, but if he can't install them he'll settle for greed, fracture, and incompetence, typical results of extremists in power or with enough influence to distort the national interest against foreign threats.

It’s a primary and the Dems have to go after each other, but they must also make the case that they are capable of beating Trump. He is the #1 issue. Beating him is what matters most for their agenda, their voters, and the country.
Worried about climate change? Beat Trump. Abortion rights? Beat Trump. Gun violence, election interference, systemic racism, SC judges, kids in cages, govt corruption, health care, economic inequality? Beat Trump. Any Dem does much better. So unite, focus, and beat him!
Look at that long list and reconsider risking it all on a Dem nominee with a radical agenda that will motivate Trump voters and keep moderates looking for stability at home in the 7-8 swing states that determine everything.

Medicare has parts A, B. C and D.
Everyone has to buy a plan in addition to what the government provides.
So this is actually exactly #Medicare--for all....
Parts A, B, C and D. Parts A & B are known as Original Medicare. This is the most basic coverage you can get. Parts C & D are available through private health plans. They're both ways to enhance your health care coverage if you want more than what Original Medicare offers.
