1/ The Democratic Party is fractured and has some soul searching to do. The two candidates getting the most attention in the Democratic Party are INDEPENDENTS that do not want to register as Democrats. Think about that.
2/ We continue to have conversations about electability at the expense of issues of greatest concern to black VOTERS. We are told to wait our turn. To fall in line. It will be addressed. That has NEVER served us. It’s called incrementalism.
3/ Our issues, our engagement, our advocacy, our needs are not optional. Neither are our votes. The only reason could ever think to place us on the back burner is if we allow it. We should stop ALLOWING it. And that requirement should come from the top.

5/ Engage y’all. This is a wake up call. It is clear a lot of our leadership is not at all concerned with the party’s allowing a candidate to buy his way into state parties, endorsements, and onto the debate stage—while Kamala, Cory, and Julián are gone.
6/ If it’s the big tent party everybody should be in THE tent. Right now, it’s looking like a collapsed tarp trying to rush its way inside a mansion that isn’t FOR us.
7/ Black people are a discerning people. Keep going this inequitable and unjust way and you will lose a generation. Consider this your warning.
