yet another hit piece against a certain candidate.
examples:
"In a rant on MSNBC that went viral on Tuesday evening, the longtime Democratic strategist vented his concerns about the party’s prospects for beating Donald Trump, taking particular aim at the party’s leftward lurch."
"We have candidates on the debate stage talking about open borders and decriminalizing illegal immigration. They’re talking about doing away with nuclear energy and fracking. You’ve got Bernie Sanders talking about letting criminals and terrorists vote from jail cells.
It doesn’t matter what you think about any of that, or if there are good arguments — talking about that is not how you win a national election. It’s not how you become a majoritarian party."
"For fuck’s sake, we’ve got Trump at Davos talking about cutting Medicare and no one in
the party has the sense to plaster a picture of him up there sucking up to the global elites, talking about cutting taxes for them while he’s talking about cutting Medicare back home"
"James Carville
Look, Bernie Sanders isn’t a Democrat. He’s never been a Democrat. He’s an
ideologue. And I’ve been clear about this: If Bernie is the nominee, I’ll vote for him. No question. I’ll take an ideological fanatic over a career criminal any day. But he’s not a Democrat."
"But back to Sanders — what I’m saying is the Democratic Party isn’t Bernie Sanders,
whatever you think about Sanders."
Are we really sure Sanders can’t win?

James Carville
Who the hell knows? But here’s what I do know: Sanders might get 280 electoral votes and win the presidency and maybe we keep the House. But there’s no chance in hell we’ll ever win the
Senate with Sanders at the top of the party defining it for the public. Eighteen percent of the country elects more than half of our senators. That’s the deal, fair or not."

"Sean Illing
So your complaint is basically that the party has tacked too far to the left?
JamesCarville
They’ve tacked off the damn radar screen. And look, I don’t consider myself a moderate or a centrist. I’m a liberal. But not everything has to be on the left-right continuum."
Sean Illing
Buttigieg seems to model the sort of candidate you think can win.

James Carville
Mayor Pete
has to demonstrate over the course of a campaign that he can excite and motivate arguably the most important constituents in the Democratic Party: African Americans. These voters are a hell of a lot more important than a bunch of 25-year-olds shouting everyone down on Twitter."
James Carville folks. I don't know where to even begin. Everything he said here is a mess. From the party has taken a leftward lurch that they can't win elections because of it is BS. Just look at the people who support Medicare For All or improving healthcare beyond what we have
The Democrat party has been centrist so long that these centrist commentators are scared shitless that the smallest inclusion of the smallest "left" principles or ideals will make the Democrat party and his candidates unelectable.
And James goes on to talk about how none of the
candidates are talking about Trump cutting or going after Medicare and this whole time at least one candidate has been talking about it. Seems suspicious to ignore that completely.
Then he goes on this rant about Bernie not being a democrat. folks we've had this discussion.
if you start saying who's a democrat and who's not and who gets to decide who's a democrat and who's not then we're done as a party. Bernie is/was an independent like A LOT of people are in this country. According to the Pew Research Center
"Nearly four-in-ten U.S. adults (38%) identify as politically independent," But according to James they're not Democrats so we can never allow them into the party or to run for President because they're not Democrats. What are we EVEN saying here folks.
Bernie registered as a Democrat. He signed the pledge. What the fuck else do you want from ONE MAN?
And now the new attack on Bernie is oh maybe he can win...maybe he can get to 280 and win the white house back...but he damn sure won't win the Senate. Uhm. Last I heard or read
Bernie doesn't get to decide who wins the Senate. Sure he can help down ballot candidates but what proof is there that he hasn't or won't? Bernie campaigned for Hillary and campaigned for a lot of people in 2015/2016/. So what proof does James have that this won't happen?
Then James goes on this rant about how the democrat party has "tacked off the damn radar screen" seriously folks...in what possible universe has the Democrat party that has been a center/center right party since the 60's if not the mid 70's. How has the party moved so far left?
that the party is now off the radar? for offering a healthcare option that is similar to what most countries in Europe and Canada has? to not tank our sons and daughters with years of student loan debt? to want to work toward a greener society that involves reducing our
obsession with coal/oil? I mean what specific thing has moved the party so far left?
Lastly, James clearly states that getting the black vote is more important than the youth/younger people vote. Those are his words directly quoted. Just another slap in the face to the
young people in this country. It shows you how much the democrat party values their vote, values their work, their effort, and them showing up. And I'll tell you why that is...because the 25 range voters aren't consistent but maybe they're not consistent because you keep electing
candidates that they cannot connect with...you keep electing candidates that don't speak to them or the things that concern them. But we constantly give a speaking platform to people who say things like this and then they turn around and say oh democrats have to come together
united together to win the senate and white house to get a majority win. HOW? How can we when this man, a centrist political commentator just went and trashed the young voter, one of the democrat candidates for presidency, all of the "too far left" plans that people want and even
more so he trashes things people support openly. Seventy percent said they supported providing "Medicare for all," also known as single-payer health care, for Americans that from The Hill. How is that a too far left plan? James thinks talking about immigration/illegal
immigration doesn't matter getting rid of fracking and nuclear energy that doesn't matter either. As if the Democrats can't talk about multiple issues at once. If the Democrats ONLY focus on Trump and never talk about their plans....how will we know what they'll do once they win?
If these people want this election to be 1000% about talking about Trump and all the things he's said, done, or has said he will do how will we ever learn about what these candidates plans are? Oh you mean by telling the people what their plans are and
how Trumps plans or lack there of will hurt them? Exactly what they've been doing?
This is that status quo centrist-y panic talk that is filling the airwaves, tv, social media, and beyond.
It's sickening folks it really is. The centrist people, establishment, former republicans
all want you to ignore everything and focus on Trump and ONLY vote for the candidate they think will beat Trump. Who knows who that is. Maybe Biden or Bloomberg. Seems like a centrists best guess at who they want. So just fall in line and forget all about all of these things you
want like climate change plans, better healthcare, wiping out student loan debt, green economy, infrastructure, better paying jobs, etc etc all that has to be on hold because the trump party elected a mad man and we have to elect the establishment centrist candidate because he's
the only one who can stop Trump and defeat McConnell in the senate. Only a centrist establishment candidate can work to take back the senate. That's their message.
