Speaking of that congressional debate, Barry Goldwater was famously mocked for his speech against the 1964 law, with its overblown fears of an "informer psychology" and "neighbors spying on neighbors."
I wonder what Barry Goldwater would think of the Plain View Project, a non-profit that does nothing but comb through the Facebook pages of law enforcement officers, looking for posts that indicate bias, and puts them in a searchable public database. cnn.com/2019/06/20/us/…
I can't wait for the Plain View Project to adapt their model for other professions. I don't think even Barry Goldwater thought the "informer psychology" would become this institutionalized. plainviewproject.org
