NEVADA CAUCUS UPDATE:
I was a site lead for Pete at a location I can describe somewhere between suburban and rural. As a site lead I was in charge of our precinct captains, talking to voters in line, etc.

1/
There were five precincts caucusing at our location. We were to have two precinct captains for Pete but unfortunately neither were able to make it. One Pete voter stepped up to be a precinct captain on the spot. Yay, Tom!

2/
Unfortunately one of the Nevada Dem volunteers who was a caucus precinct chair became ill. As you have seen reported I, like other campaign volunteers around the states, was asked to fill in. I signed a neutrality agreement that I would not promote any candidate.

3/
I took the neutrality pledge seriously. I took off my hat and turned my sweatshirt inside out so that there would be not even the appearance of a conflict of interest in the caucus room. The caucus I led did have precinct captains for both Biden and Warren.

4/
I had a written script, a math worksheet to post for everyone to track results, an iPad and the official delegate worksheet to be sent to the county/state.

5/
All went well until we got to the delegate assignments. I noticed the number of delegates on the iPad didn’t match the number of delegates on the official delegate worksheet. I began to sweat.

7/
We were lucky that there was a NV Dem on site. There is not one at every location. We called into the NV Dem hotline. After much back and forth it was discovered that the early results in the iPad were for a different precinct and not ours!! I began to sweat some more.

8/
It took awhile but eventually NV Dems uploaded the correct early results into the system. BUT it mean we had to start over because it changed both the total # needed to be viable AND viability because one candidate had less early votes when updated

9/
This was really stressful. All I cared about once I was caucus chair was running the prices with integrity and making sure that everyone left feeling w/o question confident in the outcome.

10/
While I could not control the error I am concerned about how many more times this may have happened across the state. If the delegate count had matched I would never have found out the early results were wrong.

11/
Funny side note - one precinct only had one registered Democrat and he didn’t caucus or early vote so no delegates from that precinct!

12/
Of the remaining four precincts delegates were awarded as following:
Sanders 6
Warren 4
Steyer 2
Biden 2
Buttigieg 1

13/
So while we didn’t do as well here as we would have hoped it was a small part of the total and we got a delegate! As you can see not everyone did! Plus, I feel REALLY good I was able to help in the caucus and catch that error. Every vote needs to count CORRECTLY

14/
So, like the rest of you I will be watching the rest of the results come in today before I head home tomorrow. GO PETE!

15/15
Here is the part I DIDN’T put on my tweet yesterday. The NV Dems rep said we didn’t need to start over just adjust final alignment for corrected early results. I pushed back hard. The new early results changed both threshold needed for viability in 1st alignment & who was viable
