Well four years later, he's still got it

See the joy just jumping off the gif, @TheDemocrats?

But seriously. We all know how much someone smiles isn't what makes them pretty, right @TheDemocrats? It's what's inside that counts.

@BernieSanders has that in spades.

His campaign is built on the truth that each and every person matters. Justice for all people. Dignity for all people. Democracy for all people. Love, hope, compassion for all people.

@BernieSanders, and the whole movement behind him, fights for all.
"You are a human being."

And sometimes, when you see what is happening to that person, the systems are against them, how the machine has been rigged against them You see inhumanity and pain, you get angry.

Because @BernieSanders hates it when people aren't treated like people
He's not the only one who sees this, of course. Which is why @BernieSanders's rallying cry is #NotMeUs.

But there is real evil. And sometimes anger and a revolutionary change of values and action, instead of calmly allowing the status quo to continue, is the the proper response.
(It's so proper it needs two "the"s apparently.)

Maybe instead of tone policing @BernieSanders, we should be asking if the things he's mad at are worth being mad at, and joining in solidarity and working with the millions who are with him to stand against injustice.
Maybe, @TheDemocrats, you should be asking if it's right that @BernieSanders is upset about buying access into politics, like the #WineCaveDebate, and even worse, decisions like #CitizensUnited and the destruction of the #VotingRightsAct.
Democracy is for all people

Not just the rich. The superdelegates. The party elite. White men.

It is for the black and brown communities. The Native American and Alaska Native communities. The poor and the disabled communities. The LGBTQI+. And yes, the incarcerated. All of us
Maybe @TheDemocrats it's worth being angry when we think of what's happening to the planet. What will be the world our children & grandchildren & their grandchildren will live in. What will happen to the beautiful biodiversity. What will happen to the economies of the world...
especially in the developing world. What is happening right now to the communities where pollution and emissions are highest and the political power to protect themselves is least. What is happening to the power of disasters and the chances of pandemics and quality of lives...
as the climate breaks more each an every day.

These are the existential threats @BernieSanders is enraged over. @TheDemocrats we've sadly been complicit in this. In the profits. In the bad science. We would be angry too. We need to fix this before it's too late. For all life.
Maybe @TheDemocrats it's worth being angry when we hear the stories of the hundreds of thousands who go without health care. Who choose between food for their kids or medicine for themselves. Who bankrupt their retirement to pay for care in the twilight years of life. Who...
needlessly die from putting off health care appointments. Who live with debilitating chronic illness or disability without the help they need because it's just too expensive. Who suffer the threat of being fired for getting sick and losing the meager care their employee...
benefits provides them. Who find themselves massively under insured. Who find the idea of choice in healthcare currently a laughable thing, since they can't afford better, and what they have dictates so coldly who they can see and when, which forces them to not call ambulances...
when they'd need one, which forces them to worry about which hospital is in network and which doctors in that hospital are in network. Who find themselves worried about paying off the mountain of medical debt incurred when a drunk driver crashed into them. Who...
find themselves trapped in a dead-end job or an abusive marriage just so they can keep their instance. Who are sick of paying more for less each year. Who are sick of watching ceo compensation go through the roof, of watching stock buybacks soar, and watching costs for the...
same meds they've been on for a long time go up and up and up.

Maybe it's worth being angry at all of that, @TheDemocrats, and not settling for half measures that still leave tens of thousands to die needlessly and hundreds of thousands to suffer needlessly. Maybe being...
angry like @BernieSanders and working to change the whole healthcare system is what's needed. Maybe we need to come into the 21st century with the rest of the world and see healthcare not as a commodity or a product or a job benefit, but something all people NEED in their life...
something that should be a right for all people.

@BernieSanders is right that we need something cheaper and better for all, @TheDemocrats. #HealthCareIsAHumanRight #MedicareForAll

#NotMeUs #FeelTheBern #BernieSanders #BernieSanders2020 #BernieIsTheFrontRunner #BerninForYou
Maybe we need to be angry, @TheDemocrats, just like @BernieSanders is when we see injustice of education being something only the rich can afford. #FreeCollegeForAll
Maybe we need to be angry, @TheDemocrats, just like @BernieSanders is when he sees the injustice of the decades of military interventionism, the assassinations and the toppling of democratically-elected governments, all for our profit, for the furthering of our war machine.
Maybe we need to be angry, @TheDemocrats, just like @BernieSanders is when he sees how we've sided with brutal dictators and racist authoritarian regimes, and stood against common people being murdered and having their rights violated
Maybe we need to be angry, @TheDemocrats, just like @BernieSanders is when he sees how the wages and wealth of the top are exploding with growth, while those of the rest of us remain stagnant and are not keeping up with inflation.
Maybe anger is the right response @TheDemocrats, like when @BernieSanders sees anything that's good for the people being decried as "socialism" or "communism" as a way to red scare it away from public discourse. Enough is enough.
Maybe we need to be angry, @TheDemocrats, just like @BernieSanders is when he sees how racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, etc are all alive and growing currently. When he sees that women and children suffer at the high cost of childcare, the lack of quality...
choices in early education, in workplace discrimination. When he sees how black and brown communities suffer from racist and repressive policing, a horrifically unjust criminal justice system, job discrimination, terrible mortality rates, unfair lending and real estate practices.
Maybe @BernieSanders is rightly angry to see how the LGBTQI+ community continues to face the hurdles it does to full measures of justice and equity and inclusion, in spaces as varied as the military, adoption agencies, and cake shops.
Maybe in the face of crushing student debt...
...in the face of the power of money in politics right now...
...in the face of the racist and oppressive and scientifically-misguided war on drugs...
...in the face of a lying, racist, sexist, treasonous, authoritarian, fascist wannabe, narcissistic, incompetent, war criminal serving as president who's destroying our constitutional rights, separation of powers, checks and balances, alliances, and world order...
...in the face of corporate greed that adds to climate change, economic injustice, horrific tax loopholes that allow giant corporations and billionaires to pay less in taxes than you and I, and antidemocratic access and control to politicians and the crafting of laws...
...in the face of assaults on women's rights to bodily autonomy, of assaults on our hopes of being able to retire one day and not do it in squalor, of assaults on the rights of workers to organize and collectively bargain...
...in the face of not caring for our people by guaranteeing maternal and paternal leave, medical leave, vacation time...
...in the face of mass shooting after mass shooting, and the refusal to pass universal background checks, to pass red flag laws, to close gun show loopholes, to restrict sales of assault rifles and limit magazine size...
...in the face of inhumane wages...
...in the face of an unjust immigration system and unaffordable housing and hundreds of thousands on the streets...
...in the face of people being worried about European-style Democratic socialism more than they are the rising tide of fascism and white nationalism here in this nation...
...in the face of all of that, maybe, just maybe @TheDemocrats, being moderate, temperate, slow-moving, cozy with big money donors and corporations is not the answer.

Maybe, just maybe, @BernieSanders' platforms are the rational and reasonable response. Maybe being angry is ok.
Maybe, instead of talking about his tone, @TheDemocrats should be talking about what @BernieSanders stands for.

And if you have to talk about his electability, maybe talk about how he's the most searched candidate.
Talk about how @BernieSanders is not just popular with progressives, but liberals, moderates, and conservatives in @TheDemocrats' party.
Talk about how @BernieSanders has a wide-ranging, diverse movement that spans the whole of @TheDemocrats party.
Talk about how @BernieSanders' agenda is widely popular among the nation. How these things aren't seen as radical. But good. Normal. Natural. Needed.
Also
Because ultimately, @BernieSanders is the one who can unite @TheDemocrats party for the cause of justice and who can defeat Donald Trump.

If you want to #VoteBlueNoMatterWho, he's the one to get behind. The one who beats Trump in battleground states. Who leads Trump nationally.
@BernieSanders is the one who stands for policies that are supported by the people. That have been tried in other nations and found helpful. He's the one who has the largest grassroots support.
If you want to fight for someone you don't know, @BernieSanders is the one to join.

@TheDemocrats, the time is now. Quit tilting the contest towards the rich. Quit working against the emotions that we feel in the face of injustice. We can beat Trump and build a better world.
And if he doesn't smile enough for you...
And look. @TheDemocrats have disagreements. That's ok. We don't have to agree on everything to work together. Donald Trump needs to be removed. Justice needs to be fought for. Let's unite behind the frontrunner, @BernieSanders, even if he isn't always cheery in the face of all...
