I come from a Jewish family too. And here’s what the Jewish woman hit by Tiffany Harris had to say: “I’ve been dismayed to watch politicians exploit what happened, to use it against bail reform. I want her to get treatment & not be subject to money bail.”

Both women, the ACTUAL VICTIMS of the attacks:
1. Recognized immediately that Ms Harris needed help, not jail.
2. Were furious “Anti-semitism” & their experience was exploited by pro-carceral forces to push an irrational response.

Bail reform worked in Tiffany Harris’s case like it was supposed to. She was hospitalized instead of jailed, which would have only made her problems worse & eventually released more damaged than before. But Bill Barr saw an opportunity to inflict needless cruelty. So he took it.
On the same day, Elyse Maister called for an end to exploiting her experience to kill bail reform, Bill Barr came to NY to announced he would steal Tiffany Harris from her mental health treatment, charge her w/ a federal hate crime, & seek pretrial jailing. All to inflict pain. 
Yesterday, Barr’s prosecutors asked for her to be jailed. The judge rejected them. Listened instead to her now-federal defenders: “Tiffany Harris should not be used as a pawn in the federal government’s battle with New York State over bail reform.”nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-c…
Yet still, despite the crime victims asking police, prosecutors & lawmakers to stop scapegoating Tiffany Harris, & now a federal judge rejecting the politics & premise that she should be jailed, @NYGovCuomo & @NYSenDems continue to push to kill the reforms in her name.
Yet still, despite the crime victims expressing their “dismay” about being exploited to hurt people in need of help, @NYPost continues to disparaging & sensationalize. “Serial slugger.” She is a woman with mental health issues living in poverty, who is now getting help, assholes.
