#Votingrights activists did not abandon their commitment to justice after the vicious attacks of Bloody Sunday.

They were determined to proceed to Montgomery, and LDF joined them in that charge by pursuing litigation that won them federal protection for the subsequent march.

1/ BREAKING: Simply stated, natural hair discrimination is racial discrimination. Last month, news surfaced that TX high school senior De’Andre Arnold was barred from walking at his graduation by Barbers Hill Independent School due to his dreadlocks.

2/ From schools & salons to jobs & airports, racial bias is often distilled into policies that disproportionately target Black people. These policies limit Black mobility by forcing individuals to decide whether or not compliance is worth sacrificing a part of their identity.
3/The fight against #naturalhair bias isn't new to LDF. Last June, Assoc. Director-Counsel @JNelsonLDF delivered testimony before the House addressing @TSA body scanners&policies that disproportionately subject Black women to addt’l screenings at airports. bit.ly/36X7XMR

Des solutions existent pourtant↘️
La mise en place d'1 protocole de soins- encadré par l'autorité judiciaire- est selon moi certainement 1 des clefs pour parvenir à mettre fin aux additions et par là même au parcours délinquantiel de certaines personnes.
