Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has released the following statement after the execution:

“Tonight, justice has been served. Nathaniel Woods, one of two cop-killers in ‘the bloodiest day in Birmingham Police Department history,’ has met his just fate."
“On July 17, 2004, four Birmingham police officers were doing what law enforcement does day in and day out: standing guard to protect us through the enforcement of our laws. The four police officers were attempting to serve a warrant on Nathaniel Woods
—a misdemeanor arrest warrant—when Woods led the officers into an ambush. As they were attempting to arrest him, the accomplice of Nathaniel Woods came out of hiding with an SKS rifle and began his onslaught, firing a barrage of armor-piercing bullets at the officers.

Rodney Reed raped & murdered a teenager and last year I put my entire platform into calling out the lies spread by his famous supporters

Wikipedia edited his past crimes

His lawyers panicked and made an internal document trying to debunk my analysis of the case

They failed
Now, the Supreme Court has rejected his appeal

And celebs like @DrPhil and @KimKardashian are falling silent

Because the evidence is clear

He did it and only he could have done it
There is still more to come on this, as Texas courts review the case

I will not stop covering it until justice is done

I am seeing this through to the end

Because the girls he victimized and their families deserve it
