I've been talking with passengers on the #GrandPrincess cruise ship that's being held off the coast. They tell me helicopters just dropped off #coronavirus test kits.

Passengers tell me about 100 people who have been identified will be tested

They says those include:

-Passengers who were on the first cruise to Mexico,
-Crew who've been in contact with them
-Anyone who went to onboard medical center w flu-like symptoms or respiratory issues

Passengers tell me everyone else, not being tested, is free to roam on the ship.
They tell me dining room, decks, etc. are currently open.

In a series of tweets, @PrincessCruises says there are currently no confirmed cases of the #coronavirus onboard the #GrandPrincess.

Here's what they said:

.@PrincessCruises says the March 7 cruise to Hawaii is cancelled.

A passenger just sent me this video from inside the #GrandPrincess. He's in the dining room for lunch. Tells me staff has been professional, other passengers are staying upbeat.

UPDATE: Passengers were just told everything on #GrandPrincess, with exception of one restaurant and the buffet, will be closing.

Passengers are asked to stay in their cabins.

If they do decide to leave, are asked to keep 6ft between themselves and others.

UPDATE: Passengers told they cannot leave their rooms.

One passenger tells me it looks like the CA Natl Guard helicopters just left with test kits.

He says they’ve been delivered their room service menus for the night.

He says they’re waiting to get the #coronavirus test kit results from the Cali. Health Dept.

Lunch is served on the #GrandPrincess:

—Turkey fajitas with salsa
—Cream puff dessert

A passenger tells me the dessert was “divine.”

An “entertainment kit” has also been dropped off, including word puzzles and a jewelry craft kit.

Passenger on #GrandPrincess tells me captain announced he is waiting on state and federal guidelines for docking. Still no timeline.

NEW: Passengers on #GrandPrincess have been told passenger is having a possible medical emergency and will be airlifted by helicopter. Captain has told them they’re about 20mi from San Francisco.

Passenger tells me some in cabins with balconies have been removed from their rooms. #GrandPrincess #coronavirus

Passenger tells me they’ve been allowed back in their rooms. Says they were told because of the way helicopter had to approach plane, passengers in cabins on 11/12 floors were temporarily moved.

She tells me they’ve been told the sick passenger will be taken to the hospital tomorrow and has been unwell since Hawaii.
