I apologise for not posting anything new in last few days. I have been wading through papyrus marshes of Egypt looking for the true identity of the Holy Cow...And I think I have found it. The result is in this article, which I hope you will enjoy reading. oldeuropeanculture.blogspot.com/2020/03/holy-c…
What is this article about? When I first learned about the Egyptian civilisation, I immediately become puzzled by all the "primitive" animal gods...Why would someone like Egyptians consider baboons, cows, lions, hawks...sacred. Well now I know...
Now I also know that these are not gods. They are deified calendar markers...These animals are only sacred because they mark significant moments on the Solar year which are related to the behaviour of the only two real Egyptian deities: Father Sun (Sky) and Mother Earth (Nile)...
Why is this important? Because of this: In natural sciences, when a pattern is observed in a data set, a hypotheis is put forward with a potential explanation for the pattern...
The hypothesis is then tested with more experimental data. The idea is to confirm that the new data will conform to the hypothesis...The it will confirm that the hypothesis was correct...
My hypothesis was that animal and plant symbolism found in ancient mythologies was not random. I proposed that these are all calendar markers, based on annually recurring events from the lifecycles of these animals and plants (usually linked to reproduction)...
I also proposed that no matter which ancient religion you pick in Eurasia and North Africa, you will, after you decode all these animal and plant codes, end up with two deities: Sky (Sun) father and Earth (Water) mother...
I have postulated the hypothesis based on "data" from European cultures. I then tested it with "data" Ancient Egyptian culture, Bronze Age Levant cultures, Bronze Age Mesopotamian cultures, Indus Valley culture...All these "data sets" confirm my hypothesis...
I think this is kind of important...🙂
Why is this important for understanding of the Old European Culture? Well there are still pile of "monsters", "hellish creatures", "demons", "gods" and "goddesses" knocking about European mythology which need some new light shone on them and need to be exposed for what they are..
The problem is that when we are finished, there will be very little mythology left, and a shit lot of nature...
