I really think every high profile journalist who is offering their takes on this pandemic to hundreds of thousands of people who use them as an information source should think very carefully about what they say right now.
Holding decision makers to account is vital, but doing that in a way which is beneficial in a complex global health crisis means stepping aside and putting the spotlight firmly on the experts. Show what they agree on, and why. Show what they don't, and why.
Present the issues, present the options, present what we know, present what we're trying to find out. Tell people how to find out more. If ever there was a time to use your profile to help people get the information they need, this is it.
