Some next level massive organizing that must be done with some immediacy is taking care of displaced college students in states where colleges have suddenly closed. In Philly more than 100k students in 4 colleges were suddenly ordered to leave dorms and on-site housing TODAY.
Many of these students are already penniless, food insecure & this is their only safety net (yes all you folks shaking your fists about the curse of free college are clueless). Now they are literally out on the streets with no way to return to their families, IF that's an option.
So if you are able to help with this, through your own alumni association or other means, please do so. In The Wife's classes, about 15% of students are not from the US. While others live across country. The college is extending ths break to two weeks. Where will they go?
