I watched my friends dying in the last pandemic. I laid down in the literal streets in die-ins in NYC, SF, DC and Philly and was arrested in civil disobedience protests trying to get the government to do something to stop the dying. One of the only people to help was Tony Fauci.
Science is not politics. It doesn't argue political agendas--it argues facts. The facts Fauci has presented this time are succinct as they sre devastating: if people don't stay home, practice scrupulous hygiene and #FlattenTheCurve, the death count will be stratospheric.
In times of crisis, Americans pull together. We have a long tradition of this. So why aren't we doing it now? Why aren't we working together to make sure everyone has what they need to manage during this unprecedented crisis? This is real. Don't be part of the problem.
