NOW: We're at the Franklin Co. Court of Common Pleas now working to get answers for you about the suit being filed to delay Ohio's election.

Will share updates as I get them, we are waiting for a judge @wsyx6 @fox28columbus
A judge will of course have a big decision to make - will share confirmed info with you as it comes in.

A few people gathering in the courtroom now.
BREAKING: The lawsuit to extend voting to June now shows up online -- it's a Jill Reardon vs. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose.

We will share details from court as soon as things start.

Looking through the complaint now - much is as expected.

Plaintiffs do not want to expose themselves to #COVID19.

Hearing still has not begun.
Hearing starts now - discussing concerns of plaintiffs about being exposed to #COVID19 via voting:
Judge Richard Frye asks why did these individuals not early vote, absentee etc.

Response from Attorney Diane Menashe:
Attorneys for different political candidates call canceling an election the day before a dangerous precedent:

@wsyx6 @fox28columbus
More arguments from “other side” - this could disenfranchise people, candidates exhausted their budgets targeting Tuesday & claim there is no legal basis for this.
Now - @NirajAntani claims the call to move the election should have come from General Election. Argues people should have taken precautions to early vote, etc.
Some changing of calls - some politicians now agreeing with the Governor, Sec. of State to move election.
Hearing now from @FrankLaRose’s team.

Argument - today people were specially told to stay home. Plus, some polling sites they claim don’t have enough workers — says they have to consider the voters, the people.
NOW: Judge Frye is speaking. He doesn’t think plaintiffs & Sec. of State were timely.
He also says people could have taken time to vote absentee - calling #COVID19 very publicized.
Judge goes on to say that there isn’t medical info in front of them to suggest that situation will be any better come June #COVID19
NOW: Application for temporary restraining order is DENIED. @wsyx6 @fox28columbus
BREAKING: New statement from @GovMikeDeWine & @FrankLaRose about voting Tuesday.

We are still working to get more clarity for poll workers tomorrow. @wsyx6 @fox28columbus
As of 10 p.m. - I'm told no appeal type documents have been filed with the @OHSupremeCourt regarding voting Tuesday.
APPEAL FILED - The plaintiffs who sued to delay Tuesday's election have now filed an appeal to the Court of Appeals, Tenth Appellate District of Franklin County. @wsyx6 @fox28columbus
