We are now developing some experience w highly aerosolizing procedures on patients in full COVID19 PPE and negative pressure rooms
Quick thread
Figure out how to safely transfer supplies in without having doors open or hand-to-hand transfers
I think it is a form of solidarity
It is BAD for infection control
Lots of markers and paper to write notes back and forth
We tried having a portable phone in the room calling out to colleagues at the desk, but during highly aerosolizing procedures (unlike for patient ISOCOMS) phones don’t work great because PAPR downdraft is too loud
Pull open all the shades to all the windows during highly aerosolizing procedures to support communication and ability to anticipate team needs
RE portable phones... We've had some success with baby monitors. 50$ on amazon! Very easy to hear what's being asked for.
