1/ Update on my 68 year old mom who has tested negative to all flu and can’t get a test for #COVIDー19 @KPMemberService...
She finally went to the ER with a 102 fever, chest pain, and dry cough.
They admitted her in and drew blood and Xray...
2/ they retested her for flu even though she had tested negative on Wednesday. She was negative again. Her cough is worse. Her chest pain and breathing is worse. After an hour the doctor came in and told her she thinks it’s a viral infection.
3/ they had no desire to even test her for #COVIDー19 although she is displaying all symptoms and is negative for flu. She’s doing what the government is asking us to do...

Flatting is also a totally contradictive appraoch: while the epidemiological goal is to make the pandemic last longer, the economic logic is to make the pandemic as short as possible to prevent economic systems around the world from collapsing. Flattening does not make sense /3

Yesterday I came in contact (6 feet maintained!) with a woman whom I do not know. We were discussing the insanity of “the #COVIDー19 “ “thing.”
We were not having the same conversation.

“This is so crazy!” she said. I agreed, thinking she means just the overall, general insanity of actually living through a pandemic.
“I know,” I said. “I’ve never seen anything like it. I just hope everyone who is buying all the stuff actually stays home and uses it there.”
She waved her hand. “Oh, honey, this isn’t anything but a bad flu. A few people will get it and it’ll be fine.”

“Unless, like me, you’re immunocompromIsed. I’m the one who will get it and it won’t be fine.”

went through a question list 4 symptom history，if i met anyone from high risk country China italy
i told them i was in Prague 4 film festival & met many people around world.
but seems they are about letting me go.
3/ airport medicals are calling authority to ask about my measurement，go home or stay for test maybe…
seems phones got difficulty to go through…
personally i wish to stay and have test asap.
but i need to respect their decision.

A #COVIDー19 testing story.: a close friend who has been in Asia with a layover in Seoul came home and self-quarantined last Saturday. As of Tuesday she has respiratory symptoms, achy, chills but no fever. Called the #DC DOH who told her to stay home. Call if it gets worse. 1/
2. She stays home. Binges Netflix etc. Wednesday she feels worse. Crap. Tightness in her chest. “I have asthma and I need to see a doctor” she says. “I was in Thailand + on a plane full of people who embarked in Seoul. “Stay home” says DOH #COVIDー19 2/
3. Feels awful. She’s asthmatic.Uses inhaler which doesn’t help. Chills. Wakes up in the middle of the night w/stomach cramping. Calls DOH-We won’t test you, but go to urgent care-just wear a mask,wash hands. She calls 3 urgent cares, All say please don’t come here. #COVID 3/

This is my original tweet which began the Coronavirus #COVID 19 watches.

On 1/20/2020 I was alerted to a potential pandemic virus. At the time, I was already concerned of its clinical presentation. This was not me jumping onto a hype click-bait thing; I was ahead of it.
For historical reference, the pinned tweets on my account have links to every tweet I put out including source documents.

I wished I was wrong. But it turned out my initial fears were correct right at the outset.

While this may never be another “Spanish Flu”, it’s still serious
At the time I reported on Coronavirus #COVID 19, there were only 139 total cases.

We are rapidly approaching 100,000 cases and 2,000 fatalities.

The TRUE numbers are still not known. It is likely the true numbers are a multiple of 5x-20x higher (both on cases and deaths)
