Watching @UKParliament statement from @MattHancock.

Very glad to see collegiate approach from @JonAshworth & @MattHancock and great to see thanks to the Paymaster General, @NazShahBfd, @wesstreeting, @SayeedaWarsi, @BoardofDeputies the concerns on forced cremation have been met.
I'm concerned MPs who due to the outdated voting system are putting their health at risk as they need to scrutinise the #CoronavirusBillUK but should have been able to scrutinise this virtually. /1
I'm worried for all those there and think its mad that @MattHancock who looks ill is having to deal with people like @SteveBakerHW and @CarolineLucas who are being so rude to @MattHancock and the other MPs. /2

#CoronavirusBillUK
I'm disgusted that @jeremycorbyn who is 70 and is the MP in Islington is putting himself at risk, those like me who are quarantining and doing the right thing, his own frontbenchers and MPs and staff.

What a terrible, terrible example. /3

#CoronavirusBillUK
Good start in response from @JonAshworth who is working closely with @MattHancock and there is clearly mutual respect.

But he is right they will be asking probing but constructive questions. /4

#CoronavirusBillUK
@JonAshworth is right to say MPs in @HouseofCommons need to adjust their own way of thinking and set an example. If others can make decisions by @zoom_us etc why cannot they. /5
On social distancing publicity @JonAshworth I'm glad to say is saying we need to do more, but yet again @CarolineLucas is disgusting me by saying @MattHancock is not taking seriously public health advertising.

Are you taking the piss @CarolineLucas, constructive my arse. /6
I'm worried that a number of MPs may not be obeying 2m #SocialDistancing rules.

I'm worried that MPs and over 70s are putting themselves and others at risk.

As someone Ill I have mild symptoms but would not want it on nobody. /7
@JonAshworth rightly saying @UKParliament MPs not setting an example and this needs to change asap.

Also rightly casting scepticism on #BehavioralEconomics as it's too rosy in crisis times about human nature to statutory enforce social distancing. /8
Story from @JNHanvey on a supermarket in his constituency of Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath on refusing to give food to the local food bank breaks my heart. /9
@JonAshworth thank you for thanking people like my sister such as my sister who is a leading pharmacist in NHS labs.

She has been working on it since early February and the main issue at the beginning was the lack of data from #ChineseCommunistParty. /10
She is in close contact daily with CMO office and @DHSCgovuk.

Her main concern on the rush to testing which she is scared of is that at the moment the kits in other countries are not reliable. /11
@JonAshworth if it helps please DM me as she cannot discuss stuff publicly but I want to pass on what she knows with her permission./12
Overall collegiate approach and constructive criticism to improve #CoronavirusBillUK, whilst realising that in these extraordinary circumstances they are granting the Government extraordinary powers.

These powers has to be policed and removed after we beat #coronvirusuk. /13
Thank you to the following MPs who have taken part in #CoronavirusBillUK in these extraordinary times.

@JonAshworth
@DavidDavisMP
@wesstreeting
@AWMurrison
@EdwardJDavey
@MattHancock
@Jeremy_Hunt
@PennyMordaunt
@NazShahBfd

@lynbrownmp - not there but via texting @wesstreeting.

@Ianblackford_MP - great and moving speech saying all of us need to work together to beat #COVID19 and saying politics canmot let politics get in way of saving lives, but we collectively work together to support everyone./15
@JNHanvey for highlighting reckless behaviour from @amazon.

Please listen to @Ianblackford_MP the MP for Skye. You cannot #selfisolate in the Highlands.

#CoronavirusBillUK /16
Cometh the man cometh the hour. What an incredible speech by @Ianblackford_MP who struck the right tone and delivered it with verve, passion and authenticity.

@peterbotting what do you think. /17
@RhonddaBryant - righteous powerful anger- stop the ludicrous behaviour now as you are endangering life.

Good point on fashion companies calling up @DHSCgovuk asap to ask they can find protective gear. /18
An absolutely bizarre speech from @BrineMP.

Had a go at our food distribution going on about how all our eggs in one basket.

@BrineMP we have enough food and the issues with hoarding is being sorted by @DefraGovUK.

And no @BrineMinister this is not akin/19
To flu pandemic bill you introduced as Public Health Minister.

In speech it came across that you treated this as a chance to talk in language which is unclear.

Speech wasted time we do not have and seemed more about promoting you. /20

#CoronavirusBillUK
After a good point earlier in the debate on how to get more #nhsworkers @EdwardJDavey, acting @LibDems leader struck the wrong tone entirely.

He concentrated on how @LibDems would oppose it in normal times. /21

#CoronavirusBillUK
@EdwardJDavey gave impression it should be treated like normal piece of legislation and voted in @UKHouseofLords as well.

@EdwardJDavey many in @UKHouseofLords are over 70. Its an unelected anachronism.

Do we honestly have the time when @HouseofCommons /22

#CoronavirusBillUK
Has enough talent and bipartisanship to effectively d constructively scrutinise #CoronavirusBillUK. That talent includes yourself as I know from those who know you are a hardworking MP. /23
The main issues that came out from what I heard is the following

- Selfishness of those ignoring #SocialDistance roles.
- The impact that it will have on us all
- Realisation from some MPs that the way @HouseofCommons works needs to change following the crisis. /24
- A bigger stick is going to be needed to enforce #SocialDistance rules due to small actions of minority.
- The Govt did not want to put together the draconian #CoronavirusBillUK and opposition normally would not have supported it, but its the only way to #SaveLives. /25
-Many MPs made #WorldWar2 comparisons. In #COVIDー19 we're fighting an invisible enemy, but we must #ComeTogether to defeat #COVIDー19 and most with notable exceptions tried to set an example

- MPs just as scared as us, so #CutItOut with the insults they face and #BeKind. /26
