YouGov's @chriscurtis94 takes a look at who Lab-Con switchers are, what they believe and why they jumped ship in today's @timesredbox.

49% of this group say the main reason they switched their allegiance due to Brexit. While only 27% cited the leader...

...that's not to say that Lab-Con switchers like Jeremy Corbyn - they really, really don't. Just 5% hold a favourable view of the outgoing Labour leader, while 76% have a very unfavourable view.

By contrast, 81% have a favourable view of Boris Johnson.

74% of Lab-Con switchers say that Labour left them, not the other way around. The party "used to represent people like me, but no longer does".

Influenza: cada año se presentan de 3-5 millones de casos graves en el mundo y medio millón de fallecimientos.
¿Entonces porqué estamos tan preocupados por el COVID-19?
Yo daría dos razones principales:
1) incertidumbre, de COVID aún hay mucho que no sabemos.
2) COVID ha mostrado que puede colapsar sistemas de salud, aún de países desarrollados.
¿Porqué influenza no suele colapsar los sistemas de salud? Porque la vacuna evita muchos casos graves y evita que los casos se acumulen con gran velocidad, ya que al haber gente protegida se rompen cadenas de transmisión

I now do not know the UK Government's *objective*
The reason the "herd immunity" idea was so sticky in communication terms was that it was at least an objective. You could argue if it ever were the true objective, whether it still is, whether it were the right objective... but it was somehow concrete
It was even in project management terms a SMART objective
- Specific (70+% get it)
- Measurable (test if people have it, or extrapolate from deaths)
- Achievable (virus spreads fast, so yes)
- Realistic (if you assume no re-occurrence, yes)
- Time (2 years)

So this is a thread for friends and colleagues in the US on how fast the Coronavirus spreads. You just can't imagine.
Last sunday, 580 positives, today, a week later, 6.200 positives, and the country is in state of alarm, a pre-military situation.

So what happened?

Last sunday, march 8th, no one could imagine this today.
It was the demonstrations for women day all across the country and life was normal.

Some voices saying the demonstrations should be cancelled, but they happened.
On monday 9th positives start to spike. Mainly in Madrid.

Tuesday 10th Madrid local Government decides to lock down schools and universities for 15 days.

Remote working is recommended but not mandated.
