San Francisco has internalized what delaying acting on a dire public health diagnosis meant, even though for many, even here, the AIDS crisis seems like ancient history

Some people are so eager to show that their takes from a month ago were solid that they're risking further damaging public health measures. Come on.
Also I presume any health person jumping on this train is sitting on masks they should donate to hospitals. Shame on you.

New Haven asked @yale if it could house first responders awaiting test results in empty dormitories. Yale said no. UNH said yes.

Incredibly sad news out of California, the elderly patient in Placer County, who contracted the coronavirus sometime while on the Grand Princess cruise from San Francisco to Mexico, has passed away. Their is the potential here for major community exposure.
The patient was taken by ambulance to Kaiser Permanente Roseville, coming into contact with ten Kaiser Permanente healthcare workers and five emergency responders, prior to the being put in isolation. They are all under quarantine.

In addition, Placer County Public Health is working closely with Sacramento County Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to identify and contact other cruise passengers.

Good morning. Divergence b/n US & Asia is happening again w/ US ISM manufacturing bouncing in Jan to 50.9 from 47.8 while Asian data remains weak (Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Thailand, & China slower). New orders rose to 52! After an abysmal Monday China iron ore⏬today.
As mentioned yesterday, we only had that magnitude of single-day drops 5 times since 2001 & in 2007 markets rebounded the next day but NOT 2015. The drop of iron ore forebodes 2015 for today & not 2007, meaning, likely get to buy it cheaper if u think markets over-reacting🤗!
