A PUZZLE IN INSTALLMENTS - 1

Quarantine is here, so extra time for solving puzzles. I have a proposal for you, which includes a daily problem regarding this figure and some related ones, constructed from points in a dodecagon, with a big reveal at the end. Are you game?
This is today's puzzle:

We have a circle with r=1, and 12 points for making a dodecagon. We join 7 of the vertices as shown.

What is the area of the resulting 14-sided polygon?

Same problem as yesterday: finding the area of polygons constructed from vertices of a dodecagon in a circle of r=1. Today we have 3 shapes, 1 symmetrical and 2 not.

They are related in a surprising way.

Corea del Sur contuvo el crecimiento al día 10.
Singapur y Taiwan (que no aparece en la gráfica)...
...lo contuvieron con la aplicación de medidas muy tempranas.

2/ Though people returned from #China are required to be quarantined, they can actually leave home during 14-day incubation. Although inflected with #COVID19, a Wuhan couple were also found fled from hospital to escape from quarantine.
3/ All these mean the concern over community spread is real. And concerns grow when our adjacent province, Guangdong, is now the second hardest-hit after Hubei. Don’t forget, over 80 cities in #China have already been sealed to stop the virus spread.

Again, 88% of these accounts were hacked: old, inactive, weakly protected.
They could easily be frozen in bulk. 😐

Don't listen to the White House on what the Gates deal means. Don't listen to pundits who say Gates can only provide information on the Manafort case. Gates would be given a deal because of what he knows about the Russia investigation. Remember he helped change the GOP platform.
2/ Understand, too, that co-conspirators naturally share information about criminal activities. Gates is a long-time Manafort co-conspirator, as the indictments against him allege. That means he knows many Manafort secrets, including any Russia-related ones. This is a big deal.
3/ As was the case in the Papadopoulos/Flynn deals, Mueller will keep his cards close to the vest in any statement of the facts attached to a Gates plea. The White House will falsely say this is evidence Gates provided no Russia information. Discard such statements out-of-hand.
