So once more @StephenMcDonell sticks a target on every Chinese person saying in his report on @bbcworldservice today that China was "the country that caused this catastrophe". Unscientific, unethical, just vile. #COVID19
BBC "journalist" @StephenMcDonell is too cowardly to engage with the horror of what he has done & has blocked me after targeting Chinese people with his unethical World Service report. There are serious points to be made about the science of #COVID19. ... 2

China was 1st in firing line for #Covid19, in the dark, working out what they were dealing with as they went along. Crucial gene code rapidly identified & sent out internationally 11-12 Jan. Early mistakes but lockdown bought time which US/UK wasted. Months later, still faffing.

Thirty years ago in the spring of 1989, as the world’s most populous country teetered on the edge of freedom, I received a late-night phone call in my apartment in Beijing: The Chinese Army was invading its own capital.
Students made roads impassable by setting up barricades to block the army, so I got on my bicycle & pedaled furiously toward the gunfire. I reached Tiananmen Square shortly before the army & I watched as soldiers fired their automatic weapons directly at the crowd that I was in.
