1) President Trump's critics almost had a victory with this #WolffBook and the idea that Trump is out of his mind.
2) But The Donald is not one to take any attack passively - especially this one.
3) His response is, like, pure genius. A #VeryStableGenius. #POTUSVSG
4) Actually, the brilliance of Trump's tweet is that all his critics in attempting to deny that he is a genius will wind up using genius and Trump in the same sentence.
5) Thus, in effect, legitimizing Trump's assertion and praising him even though that's not their intent.

6) BTW - one other thing to notice about Trump's #genius tweet: Trump waited until Saturday to launch this offense/defense. This way, the Sunday news talk shows (Meet the Press, etc.) will have to cover the Wolff book along with Trump's assertion that he is a genius.
7) Just getting the #MSM to say the word #genius or #stablegenius in the same sentence with Trump reinforces Trump's assertion.

#brilliant!
8) @ScottAdamsSays has a very interesting take on how effective Trump's offensive defense is against the claim that the President is crazy/out of his mind.

9) Remember who the audience is and what the persuasion needs to be.

For Trump to succeed, more Americans need to feel that he's a genius (or that he's effective) than he's out of his mind.

10) Given the results of his presidency so far - which narrative actually works?
