There's something incredibly sinister happening on the Right in regard to building a defense against Mueller's Investigation, and it's putting lives and democracy at risk. 1/
There are a lot of "coincidences" happening in terms of narrative between mainstream Republicans, the Trump Administration, and the fringe conspiratorial Right. 2/
Surely you've heard by now about Congressional Republicans referring to a "secret society" within the intelligence community. This is a narrative being spun directly by Alex Jones. 3/
What's been happening is that Republicans are trying to build in doubt that the Mueller Investigation is independent, primarily using the relationship between two FBI agents who were texting about Trump. 4/
That doubt is being sown by Alex Jones, who is already leading his audience, who is Trump's base, into conspiratorial waters, claiming daily that there's a violent, international coup being planned. 5/
Yesterday Jones read a FISA document he claimed was an indictment of Clinton and Obama planning against Trump. It was completely misleading, but fit into the narrative Republicans are attempting to spin. 6/
I believe with Republicans it's meant as an opportunity to undermine the eventual finding by Mueller, but Jones and company are coloring it as the beginning of a violent overthrow. 7/
For years now Jones has been repping Trump by talking about Satanic conspiracies helmed by Hillary Clinton, actual giant conspiracies in which children are being killed with Satanic purposes. 8/
This helps a certain portion of the Right's base, but it also stokes a dangerous possibility. We're looking at people who've threatened lives and planned massacres thinking they're needed to stop these evil conspiracies. 9/
If that isn't bad enough, the establishment Right is starting to call for purges in the FBI, some of them following Jones' lead in saying 70% of the FBI is evil and needs fired and prosecuted. 10/
There have been whispers of Trump needing to either purge the FBI or to create his own intelligence force that would be independent and under his guidance. This might very well be the beginning of a response to Mueller's eventual findings. 11/
The story that's going to challenge Mueller's findings, findings that will probably prove Trump and company colluded and obstructed, is being created on the conspiratorial right, and it's already being swallowed by the body proper. 12/
Already congressmen and talking heads are using his language, they're talking about these secret societies, these cabals, and are beginning to call for mass purges. 13/
This thing is picking up speed, and if you want to know what's happening, and if you want to see where it's going, just take a look at the synergy between the conspiratorial right and the establishment. 14/
There are way, way, way too many coincidences beginning to line up. And I'm talking daily. By the hour. This is the administration using Alex Jones and company to test messaging and spread the narrative. 15/
The ramifications are almost unthinkable. Democracy itself could be challenged, and many lives put in danger. This isn't going to end pretty, either way, but the stakes are growing by the hour. 16/16
Note: this reading is so bogus. Jones is talking to Binney, trying to spin it into an anti-Trump conspiracy, Binney is just saying he doesn’t want NSA spying on Americans. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so incredibly dangerous.
