1/ A few weeks ago we were published in the @NewStatesman covering our direct action approach to tackle the failure of our party locally and nationally to deal with an extremely serious case of unapologetic antisemitism. See here: newstatesman.com/politics/stagg…
2/ The response we received from all quarters was loud and mixed. Some positive, some negative, some shocked, some angry, some incredulous, some jubilant. What followed next took us by surprise - it seems we'd let a cork out from the bottle, across the party.
3/ We only expected that this small article would be the wake up call our local, regional and perhaps national party needed to move to suspend the offender. Something which should have been done months ago. Not @TalOfer @JewishChron @guardian etc picking up & running the story.

1. So I'm currently a member of the Facebook Group, Labour Against the Witchunt unofficial.

They contain non-Zionist and anti-Zionist Jews, which I have no problem with. After all opinions are like a certain part of our body which has a hole.
That said from what I have seen the group does seem a bit obsessed in thinking that anyone worried about #LabourAntisemitism is involved in smear and part of some evil Tory agenda, even though many of those speaking out (not all) are Labour Party or former Labour members.
3. The average attitude shown by the group correlates with the views shown by many of those expressed by Jewish Voice of Labour, which as @JVL_Watch highlights is not exactly something to be proud of.

SO why did they feel the need to do this?
The IHRA definition on antisemitism is accepted worldwide, we have been using it since @UKLabour adopted it in 2016. It's a standard definition. Nothing sinister, no big deal right? Let's get on and kick out the racists so we can fight the Tories right?

With all the exposure of antisemitism in the party, the bad press, Barnet, the terrible experiences of Jewish members, & the 'commitment' to tackle AS, why have @UKLabour chosen this hill to die on?
