#Russia's Chief of Staff Gen. Gerasimov spoke at closed mil conference outlining #Moscow's vision for contemporaty world geopolitics.Here're key take-aways:
1.#US strive for global leadership leads to "total inter-state rivalry"

2.#US efforts to counter any attempt to challenge unipolar world w any means incl military largely define political situation in the world.It contradicts views of many states, incl #Russia which finds [US] dictation unacceptable & is for just "world order"

3.The basis for rising inter-state rivalry r non-mil means:pol,econ, info yet they constantly backed up by force/threats to use it.Rivalry now spans all areas:diplomacy,culture, sports,science.#US,allies use force in violation of interntl law o rby interpreting it 2 its own needs

4.Before #Russia interfered in #Syria the country was fighting war for its existemce. No state openely declared war on SYR but all illegal anti-gov groups financed,directed from abroad.Conflict in SYR is prototype of "future wars", it's waged discreetly, it's "clues-less war"

5.The changing character of the war is continuous process, conflicts of last years differ greatly. The very content of the war is alsl changing: space-span increases, intensity & dynamics rise;less time for operational preparation & conducting combat

6.Nowadays there're higher demands for troops mobility;role of radioelectronics rises, tools of information-technical and information-psychological impact increase.The scope & scale of use of robots increase, managing troops under these circumstances is more challenging &critical

7. In a warfare enemy's economic entities&assets,management & governance systems will be destroyed.Space & information areas will now also be fields of warfare.

8.These just contours of a "probable war of the future" yet a range of potential conflicts is broad & modern military should be ready for any of them.

9.Special attention to developing mil infrastructure in the Arctic. Every strategic direction [for Rus military] implies establishment of groups of long-range cruised missiles. The #Syria campaign was a booster in perfecting the system of "total defeat of the enemy.

10.To further develop it, focus shld be on precision weapons:shorten preparation for use of precision weapons by 1,5 times, improve precision by 1.5-2 times.

11.P.S. #Russia appears to be getting prepared to be caught in a war, seeks to provide a comprehensive response-if attacked or further provoked-that should deal serious blow to an opponent on many fronts and aspects.Military leadership seems very confident of its capabilities.
