Righties concerned about this, here is a thread on something you can do to counter it
1. Know what Congressional district you're in, and what the neighboring districts are.

2. Check the townhall project website to see if there's a town hall coming up for your district. If so, note the date/time/place. If not, DO ALL OF THE BELOW STUFF ANYWAY, so you'll be ready.
3. Find out what the fire code is on the place the town hall will be held. Plan to break it.
4. Call up your highest-quality range buddies. We're talking smart, competent, capable, not assholes, the kind of people other people are likely to listen to. Not J. Cletus McChemtrails, I don't care how fun he is to bullshit with. Enlist their help.
5. Make a list of everybody you know who shoots -- again, GO FOR QUALITY PEOPLE. Call them up or send an email or a Facebook message or whatever (PRIVATELY, NOT OPEN IN PUBLIC OR ON A FORUM WHERE RANDOS CAN SEE).
Lay out the plan, ask them to be there. If they say yes, let them know you'll give a reminder the day before. Ask them if they know people who'd be good for this, get the contact info, get permission to say, "X gave me your number."
6. Make a list of your local gun ranges and gun stores. Not just the ones you frequent. ALL OF THEM.
7. Divide up the work with your high-quality buddies: go down to the gun stores and the ranges, IN PERSON. Do ***NOT,*** I repeat, ****DO NOT**** post a notice on the bulletin board and go home. THAT WILL GUARANTEE FAILURE. What you want to do is SPEAK TO THE OWNER.
8. Introduce yourselves. Give credentials if you have 'em. Tell them, "X group is doing a town hall on Y date at Z time, and they will do everything they can to pack the room with anti-gun people. Fire code on the room is [whatever]. We want to break it WITH OUR PEOPLE."
9. Ask the owner if you can get their help to get *as many people to the town hall as possible,* and who they know who could help accomplish this task.

10. Put fliers and a contact sheet by the register. Give people a place to sign up.
11. Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat. And FOLLOW UP. Check in to see how many folks you've got, verify they're going. Keep track. A good rule of thumb is that of the people who say "yes, I'm still going" in response to your day-before reminder, maybe half will actually show up.
12. DO THIS OFFLINE OR PRIVATE, PEOPLE. DO NOT DO THIS PUBLIC ON FACEBOOK TAGGED WITH LISTS OF WHO ALL IS COMING. YOU WANT THE OTHER TEAM TO BE SURPRISED AND NOT KNOW WHO MIGHT SHOW UP.
13. ACCOUNTABILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY. If you can get leadership people tasked with making sure their group shows up, giving rides even, fantastic.
14. If your Congressman is friendly, call their office up and give a heads' up about what you're doing. Explain you'd like to pack the hall with a big, friendly, raucous pro-RKBA crowd before the anti-gun crowd is allowed in. I bet some side door could mysteriously open.
15. Take lots of pictures of your packed town hall to make the other guys feel bad about having been shown up.
Yes, this is work.

But this is how you get a big crowd, and when you've done this, guess what? YOU'LL HAVE DONE SOMETHING TOGETHER!
You wanna talk about building comraderie in your local gun-rights community? Hoo-boy.
And that, folks, is why Righties need to read Lefties' books.
