Proper behavioral interpretation matters.

Confidence ≠ Competence. Loudest voice is usually the weakest. Screamers and table pounders are compensating. Insults and cutting remarks are diversions. Outrage signals confusion. Guy who has it all figured out knows little.
Recently talked with someone who used the phrases "I don't know," "I don't understand," and "I was wrong" all during a 30 minute conversation. I walked away thinking she might be the smartest person I've ever met.
Need more:
1) "I don't know."
2) "I don't understand."
3) "I was wrong."
4) "It's my fault."
5) "Can you tell me more?"

And less:
1) "Actually,..."
2) "You have no idea..."
3) "No need to get upset."
4) "One time I..."
5) "Here's the deal..."
