Google decided to redesign the Nest interface. Now I have to re-learn how to use the thermostat in my own home.
Before, the controls were "pinned" to the ring, and whichever was in the up position was the active one. Now the controls are pinned to the wall, and ring moves the active position around. It's conceptually opposite of what it was before.
There's no indication at-a-glance that this is the case. So if I don't consciously think "Okay, I need to turn it the other direction now," then I turn it the wrong way, moving away from the control I was trying to access.
Basically, the designer came into my home unannounced and rearranged things. This is not okay.
