One fun thing about watching this Comey special right now is knowing that Trump is doing the exact same thing

Comey saying “If you issue a one-liner from the Obama Justice department” saying the FBI wasn’t going to prosecute HRC, that that would corrode trust, doesn’t answer the question. The q was, what about a one-liner from the *FBI,* which, as Comey notes, works independently.

This answer about the double standard re publicizing the Clinton investigation while staying silent on Trump: I don’t think Comey was acting as a partisan Trump stooge. But the answer is bullshit. He should’ve been silent on both.

It remains sickening to watch Trump take the oath. And it remains inspiring to see the footage of the @womensmarch the next day.

Trump telling Comey at their private dinner that he “never assaulted these women” is a little different from his telling him that he never mocked the reporter and that his inauguration crowds were the biggest. Because, y’know, assault is a crime and Comey works in law enforcement

Remember all the Republicans who said Trump clearing the room and then telling his FBI director, re Flynn investigation, “I hope you can let it go” was really just Trump chit chatting about his hopes, rather than an implied instruction?

Being Comey and seeing “Comey resigns” on TV and then having it change to “Comey fired” sounds exactly like a dream sequence

The cliffhanger before this ad break was Stephanopoulos asking Comey “Is Donald Trump unfit to be president?”, which is about as dramatic as asking me if I’m tweeting right now
