1/ I'm back in studio &continuing my series on #ISISfiles which I found in Tabqa, Syria.

This story is on ISIS docs regarding fighters from US, Belgium, Holland, etc.

Judging by attacks in Paris+Indonesia, ISIS still active &dangerous.

English Thread.

2/ I found #ISISfiles mentioned in this report in abandoned ISIS-court in mosque in Syria.

Imam told me he wanted to burn docs.

I asked his permission to take docs for archiving purposes.

I've given copies to local+int bodies that help bring closure &justice to ISIS victims.

3/ Already in 2013 we found trove of Al-Qaeda documents in Timbuktu, Mali.

In AlQaeda offices, we saved these docs from certain destruction.

We reported about it for @akhbar & @foreignpolicy then handed docs over to international court.

4/ OK back to today's story.

We found #ISISfiles on foreign fighters in ISIS court. So these are court cases of:

- Foreign fighters suing each other
- Foreign fighters suing Syrian civilians
- Syrian civilians suing foreign fighter(s)

In most cases ISIS-judge was non-Syrian.

5/ First ISIS-court doc is about fighter from Tajikistan.

He sues own wife because she left the house without his permission.

ISIS judge rules in his favor. Wife promises: "I pledge not to leave house, not to lie, to obey my husband &I will accept punishment if I do otherwise."

6/ Next ISIS court case is about 4 ISIS fighters -among them a Turk- who are sued for beating up civilians.

ISIS judge issues guilty verdict. 2 ISIS fighters get 99 lashes, other 2 get 79 lashes each.

Even for ISIS standards these 4 were brutal so can u imagine...

7/ Another ISIS court document we found is about an American ISIS fighter called Abu Akrama al Amriki who is suing a French fighter named Abu Nazir al Fransi.

Unfortunately we did not find doc with the final verdict. It says in papers: "case transferred from military police".

8/ Another document we found among #ISISfiles is about Russian ISIS emir who is suing two ISIS fighters from Kyrgyzstan because they were suspected of checking females in an ISIS guesthouse without permission.

2 ISIS fighters from Kyrgyzstan were found guilty &lashed 20 x each.

9/ Another interesting ISIS court case: Dutch foreign fighter sues an Iraqi foreign fighter who fired at the car of the Dutchman because Iraqi suspected a kidnapping was going on.

Verdict of ISIS judge: Iraqi fighter has to pay damages to the Dutchman.

10/ Hard to find anything on ISIS without Belgians popping up.

Among #ISISfiles, court case about Syrian civilian suing Belgian hisba member for using excessive force during arrest.

ISIS judge gives Belgian 20 lashes. Civilian 40 lashes for not obeying hisba (religious police).
