Urgent:

Friend contacted me. His relative was kidnapped in Syria.

Kidnappers want money. They used victim's phone (@Samsung S8) to contact family.

Victim has no Samsung account but I've phone &IMEI numbers.

How to track location phone? (ONLY serious advice)

2/ My DM's are open for serious advice. Please only reach out if u have some advanced knowledge of how to track a @Samsung phone.

For security reasons, I won't reveal at this stage details regarding kidnapped person & his family. Also can't say where exactly he has kidnapped.

3/ All IMEI tracker apps don't seem to be working. So please don't just send me another link unless u know for sure it works.

Also some suggest we should contact the mobile operator. But it's a Syrian SIM card so it is complicated.

4/ Please realise that there is no Google account linked to the phone.

Family is trying desperately to contact the kidnappers to negotiate a deal. However the phone is turned off.

So they are anxiously waiting for the kidnappers to call them.

5/ For those asking: the Samsung phone of the kidnapped person has Facebook and whatsapp on it.

However the phone hasnt been connected to the internet since the kidnappers took him.

6/ Thank you all for reaching out. My friend's relative is still kidnapped. There are some serious offers for help. Let's hope for the best. Will update you tomorrow.

7/ Remember when I asked 2.5 weeks ago for help in tracking phone of a kidnapped Syrian?

With a heavy heart, I now inform you that the kidnapped family member of my friend has been killed.

Turns out he was murdered by his kidnappers on 1st day. He never stood a chance. RIP. 😓
