Pakistan's Army and the intelligence agencies have been playing their constitutional role in the entire March-April episode. Imran Khan knows the military is politically neutral because it does not have enough evidence to believe the VoNC was US-sponsored. (1)
Imran Khan has exaggerated the demarche to create a narrative for next elections which the common Pakistanis have started buying completely. Its peoples' right to buy what they want to buy but the fact is, its an exaggerated narrative for elections (2)
PTI's fanbase, convinced by the very exaggerated narrative constructed by their leader, is now expressing anguish against the military especially the COAS for staying neutral in what it believes is a 'US sponsored regime change' which actually is not even evident to army! (3)

You can't keep a good thing down.

#LinkedData is a classic example, despite confusion that has swirled around it for years.

I was watching @timberners_lee's @TEDTalks presentation on the subject earlier today, and it has aged very well.

🧵
#LinkedData principles add a powerful dimension to #StructuredData creation, courtesy of a #Hyperlink functioning as an unambiguous Entity Name.

Here's a @YouTube video titled "How the hyperlink changed everything" about this "deceptively simple" tool.

Once you the power of #LinkedData settles in, its importance to #KnowledgeGraph creation becomes clearer.

Here's a nice explainer video.

Our latest #explainer is on semiconductors and the global chip shortage! Here is a brief background on them 🧵
1) Semiconductor shortages have been big news since the pandemic. No single factor explains them. COVID was clearly an exacerbating factor, but the issue has been around for much longer.
2) Shortages lie predominantly in the more ‘mature’ (older generation) chip types, where investment spend is smaller and there is less incentive to increase production.

SARS-CoV-2 Variants and RT-PCR
Can RT-PCR Detect Omicron ?
A short thread on the topic. 👇
RT-PCR is a sensitive molecular method widely used for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 in biological samples. This is based on the principle that short pieces of DNA (aka primers) can specifically target DNA/RNA and amplify them using a polymerase protein
Typically COVID-19 RT-PCR kits use 2 or more sets of primers which target the virus nucleic acid at 2 or more genes/sites in the genome. This is to improve the specificity of the detection. Combinations between N, E, RdRP and S genes are typically used.

This is how the US gives a spin to events routinely to tarnish the image of China. And the geopolitically naive Indian media and public lap it up due to the prevailing anti-China confirmation bias.
Let me break it down in a 12-point #explainer:
1/16
1. The US has faced a backlash in India for a) the initial refusal to lift the export ban on vaccine raw materials; & b) the Biden-administration’s delayed response, even a tweet of support, to the pandemic crisis in India.

2. China was among the first countries to extend help and sympathy to India as the situation spiraled out of control last week. Many Indians have expressed appreciation for the Chinese gesture, despite the recent tensions in bilateral relations.
