Para quem não sabe, o CNCD-LGBT foi um mecanismo participativo em que representantes da sociedade civil e do governo se reuniam para discutir as políticas públicas LGBT. Ali se fiscalizava o que existia, mas também propunha novas políticas
O CNCD surgiu em 2001 como um conselhão que agregava diversos temas e populações. O tempo passou, outros conselhos específicos foram sendo criados e o CNCD meio que sobrou pra gente. Aí no final de 2010 ele foi reestruturado e se tornou o CNCD-LGBT mdh.gov.br/informacao-ao-…

Jack’s story from #NationalComingOutDay 2018—
Jack had a life altering impact on me. As an ally, it wasn’t even a hesitation to NOT take him in.
Jack didn’t have a support system & would’ve been homeless w/out help for coming out to his mother.

I am happy to report that Jack’s story had a good outcome. Jack has moved to another state into his accepting father’s home. He is in college and currently pursuing his passion in architecture.
I’m proud to this amazing kid’s surrogate, bonus mom.

For the same reason many Christians in the early-mid 1900's did NOT readily condemn racism, but DID (at times over-zealously) persecute sexual deviancy:
They fear and obey the powerful (not Christ), and attack their easy targets; usually weak sinners (whom He came to save).

2/ In the earliest hours of June 28, 1969, a group of LGBTQ people reached their tipping point. They were peacefully enjoying the evening at the #Stonewall Inn in New York City when police raided the bar and started hauling out the patrons.
3/ No longer willing to take the harassment and discrimination, the LGBTQ individuals at #Stonewall fought back. Their protest lasted six days … and sparked a movement that is still building today. #Pride2019
This #PrideMonth please remember that if your Pride event isn’t accessible, affordable, & inviting to trans people, non-binary folks & people of color then it’s not for the entire LBGTQIA community.
This means wheelchair accessibility. This means ASL interpreters. This means NO COPS. This means gender neutral restrooms. This means hosts who don’t make racist, sexist, ableist, transphobic, fatphobic or classist jokes.
Vet your venue. Vet your people. Make Pride great for all of us. Except straight people. Pride isn’t for straight people. (I mean, you can come I guess, but I’m not interested in making Pride comfortable for heteros. Don’t @ me on this)
