Okay, so I'm betting people are tired of my tweet floods on #impsci but bear with me for one more.
I wrote down some thoughts for our field as I was coming home on the train from #discience19, but amtrak wifi wasn't working. so... here are my thoughts for *our field*. #slpeeps, #wespeechies, folks who study #devlangdis (especially in the US) I'm talking to us.
There’s an urgency to a lot of the work being done at #discience19 that seems to be missing from our work as #wespeechies. I frequently heard that the (cancer, stroke, mental health, etc.) work can’t wait for us researchers to be sure it works or for a few R01 cycles to pass. 1/
