Steel yourself to this fact: the grandest change you seek—the vision you’re pursuing for your community and therefore the country—may not come to fruition during your lifetime. (3/x)
Now accept the fact that you still have to try, because—as President Obama taught us—progress is a baton we pass to one another, not a finish line we cross. Often, in fact, there is no finish line—there is only making tomorrow better than today. (4/4)
