The stories being shared under the #WalkAway hashtag are incredible. My path to #WalkAway began when I became a Dad 10 years ago and the reality hit that Democrats were supporting group think, socialism and victimhood while the GOP was becoming more inclusive and open to change.

When I was ready to #WalkAway from Democrats 9 years ago it began with thinking deeply about the country I want my kids to have when they grow up. I country where freedoms are protected, the constitution is the law of the land, borders are protected and security is vital.

I want a world for my kids where talking about self evident truths won’t be the basis for exclusion from polite society, where our identity is our soul and not our skin color, where your soul matters, where hard work is rewarded and not penalized. That’s why I had to #WalkAway.
