Facebook’s follow-up answers to UK Parliament finally posted this morning. They’re not happy and reading through it, I sense why. Includes IRA ads which apparently also targeted UK and avoids answers on senior executive involvement once again. Digesting. data.parliament.uk/writtenevidenc…
It's easy to scan Facebook's letter and not see how evasive they're being. I narrowed in on one question to make it clearer. @JoStevensLabour asking if Zuck was involved in decision not to inform users in 2015. @SenKamalaHarris asked about this, too. @DamianCollins @CommonsCMS
or here is another in one doc which started with something Facebook itself in 2017 called a "major operation" but CTO no longer recalled to @Chris_Matheson. FB says didn't appear related to Russia but then they actually don't know countries oh so well. @DamianCollins @CommonsCMS

Someone should talk to Chancellor. Considering Kogan called him his "equal partner" and Kogan has testified in 2 countries and was 60M while Chancellor has been under FB "investigation" for 90 days, he's relevant although until FB releases him he won't tell you what he told them.
Facebook finally shared IRA ads with @CommonsCMS. curious which IRA ads were targeted to UK audiences. @jguynn @bradheath @npenzenstadler, any way to fast track this with your previous stellar work?
Or here again. We don't have records on which apps we terminated before 2014 to once again @JoStevensLabour's smart probing. Fast forward 2 months, we found 4 more years! There have been reports probing FB competitive strategy in terminating apps back then. Could be interesting.
or I can't talk because I have a NDA, oh we'll release the NDA, oh let's play games about details on it, oh here it is, the fact it's dated the exact day after the vote? Coincidence, I assure you. @commonscms @damiancollins
@damiancollins, please note publishers and news organizations globally have significant concerns about this new archive as they also include editorial content from legitimate news organizations in a branch of it putting political advocacy on same level as reporting and opinion.
If it were me, it would 🔥 me when Facebook does a non-answer and sends a Parliamentary Committee to read Facebook's cookies, data and privacy policies rather than simply answering @CommonsCMS's question on the third go-around.
and this answer is a sad attempt to pull @apple @tim_cook and @Google @sundarpichai in on your scandal and mess in answers to Parliament.
It says everything you need to know about Facebook's lack of respect for journalism in how they reportedly threatened @guardian in March 2018 and here in Dec 2015 it appears they took Cambridge Analytica's word over @guardian reporting leading to the mess they're in.
side note, I'm fairly confident if we let @JoStevensLabour ask Facebook's Sandberg and Zuckerberg questions for an hour, we could move past this much more quickly. All of her questions were spot on.
The sensitivity over Facebook’s records of which app developers were suspended/terminated in the 2010-2014 years reminds me of this interesting Facebook lawsuit. theguardian.com/technology/201…
