SK's opposition party Liberty Korea is reeling from defeats at June regional elections. It has now launched a recruiting campaign targeting new faces like famed surgeon Lee Kuk-jong (SK's Dr. Oz), who saved NK soldier shot while defecting across the MDL

Dr. Lee turned the position down saying he's not qualified. When asked about the recruitment, Liberty Korea's acting chief Kim Sung-tae said, "It was a bold choice and he's a fresh new face. We could have started with a clean slate." But Lee wasn't the only one approached.
This guy, 3-time presidential candidate Lee HC who ran & lost against Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun and Lee Myung-bak. Was a close second to Roh: lost by 2%. He's 83 years old and is not exactly a fresh new face. But he gives Liberty Korea some gravitas

Japan declines to attend a naval event in Jeju after repeated calls by SK not to arrive with its Rising Sun Flag symbolizing Imperial Japan. However the real reason why it chose not to attend is more intricate.

They leaked news that the lead vessel of the host country may switch to ROKS Dokdo, which is the largest SK navy vessel. Dokdo is an island but also the name of this LPH-class amphibious vessel with a platform that can launch helis, Ospreys and even VTOLs

One cannot ignore the fact that Bjp had incumbent Governments for last 15 years in Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh & for last 5 yrs in Rajasthan with same term for incumbent CMs.Anti incumbency was natural in these states & especially in Rajasthan, people were unhappy with CM.3/n

A NY Times story today confirmed that Obama admin spied on Trump campaign affiliates in 2016.
2. "The F.B.I. obtained phone records and other documents using a secret type of subpoena. And at least one government informant met several times with Mr. Page and Mr. Papadopoulos."

A "government informant" is an euphemism for a spy.
3. Previously we had been fed the lie that FBI opened an investigation into Trump campaign based on testimony from an Australian diplomat. But NY Times story opens with the stunning admission that FBI opened an investigation BEFORE meeting with the Australian diplomat.

#New PA cong. map increases D chance of winning the House majority by 4%. They only need a 6.8% generic ballot margin now (down from 7.7) to be favored.

Diff. will be closer to 10% in Nov when uncertainty from polls is ⬇️. Redraw is a very big deal.

One major reason the new PA map is such a big gain for Democrats is that it solidifies, not just tips, PA districts in Philly burbs. Also creates one additional vulnerable R district. (Easily seen in this map made by @JMilesColeman)
My forecasting model will have new PA map in the near future. This is not just a simple switch; it’s a coding redesign, restructuring of input, & drawing new geographic files. Takes a while (for me, a student).
