Psychotherapists on the Transgender Health FB page discuss how to convince balking parents to approve medical transition for their kids: Get them into groups of true believers (including @PFLAG )...and definitely play the "suicide or transition" card. 
Interesting, though, the therapists sigh they are still "hitting a wall" even after playing suicide card, arm-twisting parents into attending groups. Just like the general public is still not buying medical experimentation on kids, despite 24-7 propaganda from the media.
Not a single therapist admits it's possible the parents actually know their kids best; or that their child clients might not actually be capable of making irreversible medical decisions. One person even suggests the kid "petition the court for emancipation".
The thread wouldn't be complete without late-transitioning MTF trans activist Kelley Winters weighing in, to call parents like us a "hate group" full of bigots who deny "medically necessary care" to our own kids, daring to call it "abuse."
So to sum up: Many parents are balking at medically transitioning their kids, even when therapists play the suicide card/cajole them into joining pro-pediatric transition groups. But therapists are very determined to overrule the parent "bigots." Source:

It's clear these therapists don't listen to parents, who've known & loved their kids their entire lives. The goal is only to break down parental "resistance." The public needs to understand families are being torn apart & undermined by an activist-driven group of therapists.
