1) #Brexit, alt right & Labour positioning
One for the @OwenJones84 @mattzarb and @jeremycorbyn 's of the world

The seems to be a weird disconnect in Labour & it's commentators

They'll protest about a certain recent visit & about far right supporters of Robinson

But not Brexit
2) this is plain bizarre. Brexit, nationalism, alt right, authoritarian gov. - it's all connected, it's all part of the same fascist beast.
Protesting about bits of it is like saying "I don't like the look of that Lion's paws but I'm perfectly happy with my head in its mouth"
3) as successive Tory PMs have learned over & over, you can't placate far righters - populists & zealots don't do compromise, any olive branch is a sign of weakness.

Labour party position on #Brexit is exactly that kind of appeasement
4) it's really time for Labour to look at the bigger picture - this is beyond economics and gets to the heart of what Labour is supposed to be about, and the kind of country we want to live in

This is not the time to indulge Corbyn's eurosceptisism like it's a mild quirk
5) I mean yes, I get it, society was due for a change & I get what Corbyn is supposed to represent, this felt like a chance for a radical shift - but - there's unfortunately bigger issues at stake.

You can't argue with a tiger when your head is in its mouth
6) if people think we can throw #Brexit as a piece of meat to the alt right and it will settle them down then people need to read some more history.

All brexits will be a disaster, and will only empower them, as any Brexit will be pushed as a betrayal
7) and perhaps at some point, if Labour is doing this to chase the votes of a few Kippers then where does Labour think that leads? Are they really the voters Labour wants to appeal to rather than center lefters?
8) the EU is not perfect, but it's our best defence against fascism in Europe. #Brexit was not a working class revolt but a creed of division & populism that fooled a few whilst appealing to the base instincts of the worst of us.

And again, read some history
9) when your grandchildren ask you what you did in this potentially dark period do you really want to say "yeah, me & my party opportunistically sat on the sidelines, we didn't do much, we were focused on Corbyn in government and didn't see the bigger picture"
10) "we thought we could manipulate #Brexit & the chaos following, but it completely cut our legs out & instead the right wing populists used it instead"

Seriously, wake up & smell the coffee
11) the hard Leave supporters will never be satisfied
Soft Brexit? A betrayal
Hard Brexit? Economic chaos caused by Remoaners & EU & also a betrayal

The majority would be happy to see #Brexit just go away.
12) @OwenJones84 @jeremycorbyn and others - you're *supposed* to be activists, against the far right, yet in the political fight of your life your on the sidelines saying "will of the people" & "but what can we do"?
