NEW: In newly-declassified FISA materials, the FBI said it believed Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 election "are being coordinated with" Carter Page, "and perhaps other individuals" associated with President Trumps's campaign. 
The FBI told us earlier this year that it had never before released a FISA surveillance request. Today, we have more than 400 pages of materials of formerly top secret documents seeking permission to monitor Carter Page.

In its third request for FISA surveillance of Carter Page, the FBI quoted him arguing that the "dossier" allegations against him were lies.
There's *a lot* in these applications that's still classified. But four times, the FBI argued that it had evidence Carter Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power and participating in Russia's election meddling, and four times, federal judges agreed.
The government's last FISA application for Page includes some additional information about Steele that's still classified.
Although Page had left Trump's campaign before the FBI sought permission to wiretap him under FISA, the application shows pretty clearly that the government was interested in his connections to the campaign.
